Father pays homage to my deceased father and stands apart from the rest of the works in its use of color. Where much of the surrounding body of work is restrained and muted, this surface is loud and unpredictable.

He was the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde, vibrant, spontaneous, and at times uncalculated, yet sustained by an undercurrent of darkness and pain. The work holds that duality without trying to resolve it, allowing brilliance and shadow to exist side by side. It also carries an everlasting love for him, steady and present despite his unpredictability.
