These works document the early development of my textile practice, beginning with embroidery as a sculptural act and extending into wearable, dress-like forms. Through hand-built processes, stitch functioned as a means of generating structure, tension, and bodily scale, allowing textile to move from surface into space.

While these projects engaged the body directly, they established a material language that continues to underpin my current work. The emphasis on labour, construction, and transformation remains central, even as the practice has shifted toward autonomous textile and mixed-media pieces in which the body is no longer present, but implied.
